Multipurpose Fire-Safe Cable Support

The CabliQ Clip is a one-piece steel fixing designed for securing electrical cables to tray, ladder, trunking and wire basket systems. Developed to comply fully with BS 7671:2018 (18th Edition Wiring Regulations), it prevents premature collapse of wiring systems in fire conditions and provides a faster, more universal alternative to traditional cleats and ties.

Compatible with leading cable trays, ladder racks, and channel systems, catering to light-medium duty applications. Its design enables quicker, safer, and more efficient installation, significantly reducing labour costs and downtime.

Building on compliance

In comparison with existing solutions, the CabliQ Clip combines the fire resistance of metal cleats with the speed of ties, but without their drawbacks. It eliminates the need to choose between low-cost but non-compliant plastic ties, labour-intensive cleats, or specialist trunking clips. The same product can be used throughout an installation, delivering consistency and simplifying inspection.

Core Design Features

The CabliQ clip is made from a single strip of steel material, shaped to include a pair of opposing legs, unique multiway slot forms in the lower leg sections, and a central section with a raised projection.

To secure cable(s), the slot forms engage with a slot or feature on the support structure. Once positioned, a basic hand crimp locks the clip around the cables. This operation takes only seconds, allowing rapid progress on site without screws, bolts or specialist tools.

One Clip. Every System

For contractors, the value is measured in time and cost savings as well as compliance. A traditional metal cleat may require drilling and bolting, taking minutes per fixing.

Because one clip adapts to a variety of support systems and cable bundle sizes, fewer different fixings are needed on site. This simplifies procurement, reduces stockholding, and lowers the risk of error or delay during installation.
